PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES

October 2004 – March 2005: Laboratory assistant (Hilfswissenschaftler), full-time contract by Fraunhofer Institut für Solare Energiesysteme, Freiburg (Germany). Activities in the domain of adsorbent material characterisation for solar cooling technology and solar collectors' certification.

 

Since May 2005: young Researcher, part-time contract by EURAC Institute of renewable energy in Bolzano (Italy). Activities in monitoring field of a pilot plant where a small capacity absorption chiller was integrated in a solar thermal system.

EDUCATION /QUALIFICATIONS

High school  degree

1992 - 1997: Liceo Scientifico "L. Mascheroni" Bergamo, Gymnasium School.

 

Erasmus project

September 2000 – July 2001: Technische Universiteit Delft (Holland), third Academic year.

 

Thesis

October 2003 – September 2004: Fraunhofer ISE, Freiburg (Germany). Final project on research activities in the energetic field of solar cooling technology; Title of the thesis: "Experimental analysis of a novel concept of a desiccant and evaporative cooling for an air-conditioning system". The novel concept after this project was registered as a European patent.

 

Master of science degree

October 2004: "Università degli Studi di Bergamo", Faculty of Engineering. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Since January 2006: "Università degli Studi di Bergamo", Faculty of Engineering, Admission to the XXI cycle of Doctor of Philosophy, PhD, in Technology for Ambient and Energy.
