Abstract

In the framework of INTERREG II Italy-Switzerland, the Institute for Alpine Environment has coordinated several projects related to the national park of Stilfser Joch. Data and results from these projects as well as the good cooperation with the national park itself are a valuable base for further research. Future work will focus on protected areas and monitoring. The landscape analysis which is part of this project is closely related to the project remote sensing (III/01/04). In this context a pilot study will be performed in the national park. Furthermore, the results of a study on acceptance of the national park will be compared to results of similar studies.
