MEETING PROFILE Home | Research departments | Sustainable Development | Institute for Renewable Energy | Projects | IEA Task 38 "Solar Air Conditioning and Refrigeration" Kick-Off Meeting European Academy Bozen/Bolzano, Italy Solar Cooling – i.e. producing the necessary cold for air conditioning with the help of solar thermal heat – is becoming more and more interesting in times of growing demand for comfort on the one hand and summer-electricity-shortages as well as international effort to reduce CO2 emissions on the other hand. Task 25 of the International Energy Agency brought together the regarding international research activities and developments. At the step of starting a follow-up Task, projekt partners sum up the state of the art and are present the comprehensive IEA Task 25 outcomes. A conference open to the public will be held on October 18th. We would like to invite you to attend lectures by high level international experts and gain the state of the art of solar cooling.
