Environmental Performance Review
The Italian Ministry of Environment and Territory collaboration has been recently extended to other international contexts, including the participation in the proceedings for the drafting of the Environmental Performance Review performed by the OECD in its member Countries.
The review has been carried out by OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) in its Member States. It is intended to monitor the efforts made by these Countries in their environmental performances. In accordance with the fundamental principles underlying the environmental policy promoted by OECD, an OECD expert team, supported by experts appointed by the individual Member States, evaluates the results and progress achieved by environmental policies of the various Member States and it reaches consensus on an overall evaluation with the adoption of final recommendations.
To this regard, the Ministry has made use of the support of a team of experts available by the IMA Coordination Unit, who have actively taken part in the OECD project both during the field action phase and the drafting of the final report.
