Applied Linguistics Research Department
Home  |  Research departments  |  Applied Linguistics  |  About us

The linguistic, historical and cultural wealth of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano-South Tyrol is the starting point for the research conducted by the Institute for Specialised Communication and Multilingualism at EURAC. Thanks to the strong multilingual and multicultural nature of South Tyrol's population, this institute can aspire to offer its scientific contribution to the larger process of political, economic and social integration initiated with the birth of the European Union.

Always engaged in scientific growth, with the creation of the Institute for Specialised Communication and Multilingualism, the research department strives to provide answers which are sustainable and directly applicable to the requirements arising from the constant evolution of the linguistic situation, both at local and European level.
