Editorial Policy
EDAP's editorial policy:
- EDAP is an e-journal in the field of European integration research. The submitted papers should focus on issues of autonomy and/or diversity. Fields of main interest are therefore the issues of regionalism, federalism, minority protection, multiculturalism, cultural/linguistic diversity and constitutional flexibility. Scholarly contributions from all relevant disciplines are welcome, but preference is given to papers discussing forms of diversity and autonomy from the perspective of comparative and EU constitutional law. The length of the papers should be from around 4.000 up to around 15.000 words, including footnotes.
- The decision on whether a paper is accepted for publication or not, is taken by the editorial board of EDAP. Submissions and communications should only be given via email (mail to edap@eurac.edu). The editorial board accepts only those papers, for further evaluation, which follow exactly the rules of quotation/guidelines for authors and that either have been written by a mother tongue author or have undergone linguistic revision. EDAP does not provide for any sort of editing and formatting. Once the paper has been accepted for publication it takes on the average less than 2 weeks to publish it on the EDAP website.
- EDAP applies the principle of linguistic diversity. Contributions in all European languages are welcome. However, the editorial board may make an acceptance of a paper dependent on a language revision at the costs of the author. In any case the authors have to provide - next to the text itself, a short CV (five lines ca) and around 10 keywords - for a 200 word abstract in English.
- Despite the publication in EDAP the EDAP authors retain the copyright of their papers under the special conditions set out below.
- In order to guarantee a quick and simple dissemination of high quality research results, neither the parallel or previous nor the later publication in traditional journals or books is in contrast with the editorial policy (in this case the author has to guarantee that no copy rights of third parties are compromised). Later online publication in whatever form is, however, not allowed. Do also note, that it is not possible to remove papers from the EDAP archives in case of later publication elsewhere. Do also note that any later print publication has to contain an adequate reference to the earlier publication in EDAP including the www link.
