The Observatory is dedicated to the scientific scrutiny of South Tyrol’s Autonomy which functions as an interface between research and Public Administration. In 2001 it published with CEDAM “L’Ordinamento Speciale della Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano”, in 2003 it organized a series of seminars on the repercussions of the Italian constitutional Reform on the autonomy and in 2005 it published with Nomos “Die Verfassung der Südtiroler Autonomie”.

In addition, the Observatory will scrutinize all upcoming issues of importance to the citizens in the Province, and undertake a scientific description and long-term analysis. The focus of all activities will be on publications, seminars and includes a PhD thesis.
