A.De Grandi |

Alessandro De Grandi obtained a degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Bologna in 1994. He worked three years at the Telethon Institute of Genetic Medicine (HSR – Dibit, Milan). After this experience he worked in Germany at the National Research Center for Environment and Health (GSF) in Munich where he was involved in the German Genome Project. From 2001 to 2003 he worked in different laboratories belonging to the German Gene Trap Consortium, spent one year in Lyon (France) at the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the WHO and contributed to the establishment of the Laboratory of Medical Genetics at the S. Orsola University Clinic of Bologna in Italy. In 2003 he joined the Institute of Genetic Medicine at EURAC. His current main research interest concerns neurological and gastroenterological complex diseases, DNA damage and isolated population studies.
