Deborah Mascalzoni works at the Institute of genetic medicine as Bioethicist since 2004. She earned a first degree in Philosophy at the University of Bologna in 2002. She spent 3 years working in a center of Philosophy of Law and Sociology of Law (University of Bologna). After a Masters in Environmental Education she started her PhD in Bioethics, spending two semesters in the USA as Fellow in the Program of Science Technology and Society at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Her PhD focus was on Informed Consent in Genomics and Public participation. She currently works at the Institute of Genetic Medicine as scientist expert in Bioethics and the relationship between Science and Society.
