Eurac Research is looking for a

Researcher (part-time position) with expertise in survey/survey data analysis
 
The researcher will join the team of the Institute for Minority Rights in the EU founded project VOLPOWER - - Volunteer and Empower: Enhancing Community Building and Social Integration through Dialogue and Collaboration amongst Young Europeans and Third Country Nationals (European Commission – AMIF-2017-AG-INTE). The project analyses and designs innovative volunteering activities in the field of sports, and creative arts and culture to foster community building and integration of third country nationals. It studies the role of these activities and factors affecting their outcomes 
 
Tasks:
· Designing and submitting surveys through “Opinio” or similar tools
· Analyzing survey data
· Elaborating reports
· Providing support to carry out thematic research on legal and policy South Tyrolean context
· Organizing project meetings
· Providing support to prepare and conduct research interviews
· Providing support to conduct focus groups
· Providing support to implement cultural/creative arts volunteering activities and to any other activities related to the project VOLPOWER 
 
Requirements:
· BA in social sciences (Sociology, Political science …) or proved knowledge of the field
· Proved knowledge and experience in designing surveys and survey data analysis
· Knowledge of program OPINIO or similar survey tools
· Knowledge, both written and spoken, of English
· Knowledge, both written and spoken, of Italian OR German
· Interest and/or academic knowledge of migrant integration issues and volunteerism
· Knowledge of office-related software
· Organizational skills and ability to work autonomously and in a team

Preferable requirements:
· Previous experience in scientific research is a plus.
· Familiarity with South Tyrol and volunteering activities, activities for migrant/refugees inclusion and/or cultural activities in South Tyrol is a plus


We offer:
One-year part-time position. Starting date: 7th January, 2019
