Eurac Research is looking for a
Researcher in Cardiac Cell Electrophysiology
At the Institute for Biomedicine of Eurac Research we are focused on the broad areas of metabolic, neurological and cardiovascular disease. The activities of the Cardiovascular Medicine Group include the study of the molecular causes of inherited cardiomyopathies and, in collaboration with statisticians and bio-informaticians, the search for new genes possibly involved in the onset of cardiovascular disease. Different cell model systems, including pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes and cardiac adult stromal cells are being used for this purpose.
The selected candidate will perform the mechanistic characterization of new molecular targets for cardiac disease using patch clamp electrophysiology and ion imaging techniques. He/she will develop and troubleshoot new experimental techniques, contribute to manuscript preparation and participate in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.
· Experience in cardiac electrophysiology demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications
· Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD title in the field
· Experience in ion imaging will be positively evaluated
One or two year contract depending on experience - renewable
Salary proportional to experience
How to apply:
Interested candidates should submit their application (CV, cover letter and reference contacts) within 31 March 2018 via Email to email@example.com stating “Researcher Electrophysiology” as subject.
