Eurac Research provides an environment in which students and disciplines can connect, and where emerging and established scientists can work and grow together.
PhD students at Eurac Research benefit from excellent infrastructure and top-notch scientific supervision. They can also expand their horizons through interdisciplinary exchanges as well as skills development gained via on-the-job training or in-house education courses. These courses, organized by Eurac Research's Department of Education and Training, are designed to hone skills in areas such as methodological and research techniques, leadership and project management, and communication. PhD students also meet regularly to share ideas and learn from one another at a PhD Roundtable.
Since Eurac Research does not award doctoral degrees, students must be enrolled in a PhD programme at a university in Italy or abroad. The selection of a university depends on the research topic. In most cases, scientific supervision is shared between Eurac Research and the participating university. Some of the fellowships are generously supported by the Stiftung Südtiroler Sparkasse/Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio.
There is no regular call for PhD positions at Eurac Research; they are offered when our research projects provide the need and the resources. Available positions are made public on our website and through other established channels.
