Guide to complying with the Eurac Research Open Access Policy

Step-by-step guide for Eurac Research researchers to complying with the policy

  1. Record the bibliographic metadata of all your scientific outputs, including abstracts, in Converis;
  2. Indicate that the bibliographic metadata should be transferred into the institutional repository BIA (i.e. the Bozen-Bolzano Institutional Archive, the institutional repository of the Scientific Network South Tyrol);
  3. If the scientific output is a peer-reviewed journal article, include a version of the full text to be transferred into the institutional repository BIA. The relevant versions of full text include:
    1. If the article was published in an open access journal or by choosing the open access option in a hybrid journal (i.e. all gold open access articles), attach the final published version i.e. the version of record for transfer to BIA;
    2. If the article was published without choosing gold open access publishing, attach the author's accepted manuscript i.e. the post-print and indicate the applicable embargo period in the appropriate Converis field;
  4. Save your entry into Converis, which sends it to validation by the Eurac Research Library;
  5. After validation by the Library, bibliographic metadata and if appropriate the version of the full text will be transferred to BIA.
