Bernstol/Lusèrn: Tourism and Minorities (2008-2011)
This project on tourism and language minorities in the Valle dei Mocheni/Bernstol and Luserna/Lusérn (Province of Trento, Italy) assessed the influence of tourism as a factor of economic development on small language groups/minorities and to determine its positive or negative effects. It proposed a long-term sustainable tourism plan.
The project was co-financed by the Region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol and involved the following partners: EURAC Institute for Regional Development and Location Management (lead partner), EURAC Institute for Specialised Communication and Multilingualism, and the Cultural Institutes of both the Bersntoler and Cimbrian linguistic minorities.
