Cooperation with Lomonosov Moscow State University
With a lecture on "Integrative Area Development Policy: The Case of South Tyrol", Center for Advanced Studies' Roland Benedikter in February 2019 started the Center's cooperation with the Faculty of Political Science of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the nation's most important academic hub in the Social Sciences. The lecture was organised and introduced by Professor Maksim Vilisov. Roland's lecture addressed the approach of “Integrative Area Development Policy” which is dedicated to better integrate global and local needs. Combining contextualization with interdisciplinarity and foresight, it puts a special focus on the anticipation of challenges instead of just reacting to them. By relating Big Picture Analysis with the emerging fields of Contextual Politics and Imaginal Politics, the intention is to forge a more encompassing picture to allow “Precision Politics”. According to Roland, Precision Politics is the goal of Integrative Area Development Policy.
