Biological Anthropology: Prospects and Perspectives

In 2013 the Bolzano Mummy Congress was replaced by the international annual meeting of the German Society of Anthropology (GfA). In his role of chair of the GfA and director of the EURAC Institute for Mummies and the Iceman, Albert Zink invited the German group to hold their congress in Bolzano/Bozen. The German Society for Anthropology represents all German-language branches of anthropology and human biology. The society promotes research and teaching and encourages active dissemination and application of the scientific results yielded from human biological study.
