Welcome to the Institute of Genetic Medicine

The EURAC Institute of Genetic Medicine, formed in 2004, takes a highly interdisciplinary approach to genetic and genomic research focused on the application of genomic and molecular technology to the study of human disease. The Institute is currently composed of a nucleus of scientists from diverse disciplines such as molecular genetics, genetic epidemiology and statistics, bioinformatics and computer science, clinical sciences and ethical and legal social sciences, working side by side on common projects. This approach fosters maximum interaction and by focusing on cooperation encourages innovation and discovery.
