Institute for Minority Rights
The Institute for Minority Rights carries out basic and applied research on the protection of minorities as well as the management of cultural diversity. The strategic orientation of our research is related to issues of cohesion and governance in pluri-ethnic societies.
In addition, the Institute’s broad ranging expertise looks at the new challenge of migration into territories inhabited by minorities. With the South Tyrolean autonomy as its model, our team of lawyers and political scientists contributes to the promotion of peaceful co-existence and intercultural understanding between different peoples around the world through the management of ethnic and cultural varieties.
The Institute for Minority Rights produces world-class research as well as outstanding academic publications. Furthermore, we offer consultancy and education programs that contribute to international dialogue and understanding of pluri-ethnic societies.
