The institute supports industry customers in the launch of innovative technologies so that they can establish a competitive edge in the market. The profit and satisfaction of its customers are a measure of the institute's success. 

Research activities are chosen according to market demands. The institute collaborates closely with leading European research institutes. The major priority is given to the ensuring of independence, neutrality, and accuracy.

    Klimaplan Bressanone: the SEAP (Sustainable Energy Action Plan) of Bressanone/Brixen contains the inventory of CO2 emissions for the year 2005 and the planned measures, up to year 2020, for their reduction of more than 20%
