EURAC Library

The library consists of a research library and a specialized collection on environment and ecology, called the 'ECO Library'.

Library

The Library is a publicly accessible, specialized scientific library. It supports the research of Eurac Research, as well as other scientific work, further education, and general information needs. To this end, it collects, makes accessible and loans out up-to-date publications and media on the main themes of Eurac Research. External users can consult the library's resources in the reading room (reference library).

ECO Library

The ECO Library is the largest collection in South Tyrol specializing in the environment and ecology. Its facilities are available to the general public and it offers particular support to educational institutions such as schools and public libraries. For this purpose, it collects, makes accessible and loans out media on the following topics: nature and environmental protection, ecology, building biology, horticulture, agriculture, nutrition and naturopathy, as well as hiking, travel, sports and games. All resources are freely accessible and may be borrowed from the library. Special media packages are also available for schools and other institutions.

Loan

In principle, all items in the ECO Library can be borrowed by any user with a library card. The general public may not borrow items from the Library. They can, however, be consulted in the reading room.

Special loans ECO library

The ECO Library offers special loans on specific topics (media packages, "Medienpakete") for schools, other libraries and institutions according to special loan conditions.

Eurac Publications (BiA)

Our researchers publish articles, books, conference proceedings and more on topics that affect our future, from renewable energy to health, from climate change to social and legal issues. Here, through our Institutional Archive (BiA - Bolzano-Bozen Institutional Archive, https://bia.unibz.it) you can access these publications. In many cases, in addition to the publication data, you can also find the full-texts in open access. The Bozen-Bolzano Institutional Archive gathers the outcomes of the research conducted by the researchers at Eurac Research and at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
