Policy and Law

EURAC, in its capacity as one of the leading members of the Policy and Law Initiative of the Mountain Partnership,
has built this discussion space as a contribution to the development of a broad
discussion among members on legal instruments focusing on mountain areas. UNCEM, UNEP and WMPA,
who are also leading members of the Policy and Law Initiative, have also been involved in this activity
from the very beginning and will continue to play an active role.

The purpose of this discussion space is to allow members to share their experiences on the impact
of the existing policies and laws on equitable and sustainable mountain development at all levels and to learn
from each others experience.

Although the principal working language of this discussion space is English, members are welcome to post messages in other languages as appropriate.
