Dr. Federica Cittadino (PhD in International Studies, University of Trento, 2017) is an expert of biodiversity law, especially in relation with human rights law at the international level. Her research interests are quite broad covering environmental law and governance in multilevel systems, the role of non-state actors in global environmental governance, climate change law, biodiversity law, environmental participation, climate litigation, and environmental justice. She is the author of several peer-reviewed publications on the abovementioned research topics. On the same issues, she organised conferences and she was invited as speaker in several international conferences. Since March 2023, she is the principal investigator and project leader of a research project, financed by the European Commission and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, titled ‘TRANSNATURE - Transboundary governance models of biodiversity protection: case studies for an enhanced protection of natural resources' (Biodiversa+ Joint Calls 2021-2022).
