Researcher in the field of Building Envelope System development and performance evaluation





Within two running European Projects (H2020 funded), a set of activities have to be run in the field of the building envelope technology performance-driven development. The projects deal with the design and the implementation in real buildings of advanced wall and window solutions, for both energy retrofit and new buildings, with the target of Zero Energy Building.

 

Tasks:

  •  Envelope simulations for the indoor comfort and the energy performance at building level
  • Development of economic analyses from the building energy performance
  • Envelope's components simulation for the analyses of the Key Performance Indicators
  • Study of envelope technological solutions

 

Requirements:

  • Technical degree (Civil-Building Engineering, Physics or equivalent)
  • Knowledge on building physics
  • Knowledge of construction and technology solutions regarding energy efficient buildings (at least base level)
  • Knowledge of technical-economic analysis and property value estimation (at least base level)
  • Experience in building simulations and parametric modelling with transient tools (i.e. TRNSYS or Energy
  • Plus or equivalent) is a plus
  • Knowledge of timber construction systems currently on the market and experience in timber construction
  • design are a plus
  • Ability to carry out the activities autonomously with a constant collaboration with the team
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills; knowledge of either Italian or German (both is a plus)
