From mid-2022, the Institute of Biomedicine will open its new headquarters at the NOI Techpark: an opportunity to expand our laboratories and become part of the scientific and technological world.

The NOI techpark is the new innovation hub of South Tyrol, the place where companies, institutes and universities collaborate on new research and development projects with over 40 high-tech laboratories available. A science and technology park that facilitates interaction between different players: more than 70 innovative companies and start-ups, 4 research institutes and 3 university faculties.

An important step for our institute, which will settle in a dynamic context, where applied research and companies collaborate on a daily basis. A place where it is possible to create new industrial partnerships and to exploit the results of academic research.

Peter P. Pramstaller, director of our Institute of Biomedicine, recently gave an interview to NOI Magazine, in which he reports the strategic vision and the future of research: "We began in the 2000s with the clear mission of creating in South Tyrol a biomedical research that would network at an international level, developing positive effects on the health of South Tyroleans. With the transfer to the NOI, our research can continue to aim high. In addition, at the technology park we have the opportunity to make even better use of the research results".
