The article on dynamic consent in the CHRIS study has received a major international award!

  • English

The article ‘Ten years of dynamic consent in the CHRIS study: informed consent as a dynamic process’ published in the European Journal of Human Genetics, received the GertJan van Ommen Citation Award for the high number of citations received within one year of publication.

Every year, the European Journal of Human Genetics and Nature Publishing Group, award the GertJan van Ommen Citation Award (formerly EJHG-SpringerNature Citation Award) for the most cited research papers published in the European Journal of Human Genetics in the first calendar year following their publication.

Mascalzoni Deborah, Research Group Leader of the Biomedical Ethics & Policy group and first author of the article, yesterday accepted the award in Berlin at the the European Society of Human Genetics conference.

This achievement highlights our great effort in the Study to guarantee high ethical and legal standards for participation in research, meeting the needs of participants and those performing research.

The CHRIS dynamic consent has become a model of inspiration for other international studies. It was designed as an interactive process, based on communication between the study and participants, with the possibility to change the choices regarding their participation.

Congratulations to our authors
