The objective of this contract work was to develop step-by-step guidelines on how to apply the Vulnerability Sourcebook, published in 2014, following the latest concept of Climate Risk according to the IPCC AR5 report. The Sourcebook follows in its instructions the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4) concept of climate change vulnerability. In the latest IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) Working Group II (WGII) this concept has been replaced by the concept of climate risk. Thus the supplement developed in this project provides practical guidelines on how to work with the Vulnerability Sourcebook using the AR5 risk concept.
