On July 3rd, Roberta Medda-Windischer and Mattia Zeba will present the research they conducted within the D.Rad project on how to tackle radicalization and violent extremism through roleplaying, presenting the civic education game In search of the lost past and discussing the challenges and solutions in the field of civic education.
On July 4th Andrea Carlà will discuss whether and to what extent volunteering experience might play a role in processes of de-securitization of migration, fighting prejudice and fostering mutual trust and intercultural understanding. I argue that de-securitization could be addressed starting from the public perspectives, looking at specific individual experience in daily life and how it affects people’s perceptions of “others.”
