Academia - CROSSROADS

In English, the word “crossroads” has several meanings, amongst them: an intersection and a place where roads meet or divide. In the articles in this edition of Academia, we have interpreted crossroads in our own way. In the contribution on Eurac Research’s biobank, we deal with data as a resource to be exploited through collaborations, where the crossroads are not only technical issues, but also geopolitical ones. We also thought about the pathways through which the facts of the past come to us, the crossroads where the role of the teaching of history intersects with building the collective identity of a people or territory. A weighty topic that we addressed together with historian Andrea Di Michele (unibz).
