Bradley Loewen has been a researcher in fields spanning urban and regional development, planning and policy since 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, CA), Master of Sustainable Urban Planning and Design from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, SE) and Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Tartu (Tartu, EE), undertaken within the Marie Curie Initial Training Network (ITN) RegPol2. He has extensive experience researching development topics in the EU policy space, specifically regarding medium-to-long term regional transformations from an institutionalist perspective. His recent works, such as the PeripheRIS project at Eurac Research, focus on institutional supports to innovation guiding regional sustainability transitions.
