Cooperation with Lomonosov Moscow State University
Center for Advanced Studies’ head Harald Pechlaner participated together with Anja Marcher and Daria Habicher at the symposium “De-Lokalisierung” in Vienna, led by the “task force: Cultural Dynamics” (German: “ARGE Kulturelle Dynamiken”) of the Austrian Research Association (ÖFG – Österreichischen Forschungsgemeinschaft).
Contribution to OECD-ERSA Winter School 2019
In January CAS' Roland Benedikter took part as a speaker in the OECD-ERSA Winter School 2019 about "Spatial productivity for regional and local development". The school is organised by the OECD Trento Centre for Local Development in cooperation with the European Regional Science Association ERSA.
Center for Advanced Studies at the Gaidar Forum
On January 15-17, Center for Advanced Studies‘ Harald Pechlaner participated, on invitation by the festival‘s authorities, in the 2019 Gaidar Forum, the most important international economic forum of Russia branded „the Davos of Russia“.
International Symposium in Vietnam on the Nexus of Migration and Tourism
The symposium was co-organized and co-chaired by Bournemouth University (BU) with Vietnam National University (VNU), University of Social Science and Humanities in Hanoi, 20-21 September 2018. Researcher Anja Marcher from Eurac Research’s Center for Advanced Studies presented recent research on migration and tourism nexus in South Tyrol.
Cooperation with Budapest Andrassy University's PhD Program
On 6-7 December 2018, Center for Advanced Studies’ Harald Pechlaner and Roland Benedikter joined Andrassy University Budapest‘s, Hungary, Interdisciplinary PhD Program Colloquium 2018 to deliver lectures on „De-Localization. The Idea of Transnational Routes“ and „Dialogue in Polarized Open Societies“.
Contribution to bauhaus now
With an essay about "Artificial Intelligence and Artistic Intelligence", Center for Advanced Studies' Roland Benedikter contributed to bauhaus now, the official publication of the Bauhaus Association 2019.

International Conference on World Famous Mountains in China
In a contribution for the 4th International Conference on World Famous Mountains hosted by Leshan Normal University in Emei Shan City (Chengdu, China), researcher Greta Erschbamer from Eurac Research’s Center for Advanced Studies presented recent studies on sustainable development of tourism in mountain areas.
Global UNWTO Sustainable Tourism Observatories Meeting 2018 with focus on Spatial Data
