CLIM-UP

Climate Data Development and Update for Monitoring and Understanding.

The internal project aims at computing and releasing climate information for South Tyrol and surrounding areas by developing integrated processing chains and improving the ability to model the spatial distribution of key hydrometeorological variables in the region. The specific objectives are:

    • developing robust processing chains ensuring the automatic generation of up-to-date gridded fields and databases for South Tyrol of key meteorological variables,
    • implementing new interpolation techniques improving existing datasets and enabling the integration of other variables, e.g. relative humidity, and finer temporal resolution, e.g. hourly fields,
    • promoting the use of generated products within CCT and other institutes and their with existing local products and services)
