Support and Training

Eurac Research offers a number of formal and informal training and continued professional development opportunities to PhD students.

PhD students in Eurac Research meet at the PhD Roundtables once a month. This is an informal forum. PhD students share tips and strategies for managing PhD research and writing and discuss the challenges that every PhD student encounters along the way to their degree.

The PhD Office is also running a PhD Student Writing Group. PhD students meet once a week to write in community and motivate one another.

The Eurac Department of Education and Training offers dedicated courses to PhD students, who are also welcome to enroll and participate in all other internal training to develop skills and facilitate career development. The courses offered through the internal training department focus on methodological and research skills, leadership and project management, and communication among other topics. The courses might be eligible for ECTS credits at universities, provided that universities recognise them.
