The last 11 December EUREC - The Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres - held the election of its new President.
Wolfram Sparber has been elected for this role and is going to represent the Association for the next three years. The current EUREC Executive Board is composed of ten members, including the President and Vice-President.
The purpose of the association is to promote and support the development of innovative technologies and human resources to enable a prompt transition to a sustainable energy system. All the members are important research and development (R&D) groups spread across Europe, operating in all renewable energy technologies and supporting technologies such as energy efficiency, storage, distribution and integration.
