The holiday region Kronplatz has a long history in the field of training camps. In the years from 2003 to 2008, the football team FC Inter Mailand came to Bruneck for their training camp; from 2009 to 2013, AS Roma trains in the region. In the year 2010, the Slovenian national team came to Bruneck to prepare themselves for the World Football Championship in South Africa in 2010. Further the camp of the football team FC Torino and the Czech team Sparta Prag took place in Reischach in 2014. Therefore, the destination Bruneck Kronplatz shows a long experience in the field of training camps. Also in the year 2015 South Tyrol and consequently also the destination Bruneck Kronplatz are considered as the official place for the training camp of the football team FC Inter Mailand.

The projects includes qualitative interviews with relevant stakeholder of the destination, a quantitative on-side survey of the guests and daily guests as well as a social media analysis.

The aim of the project is the presentation of the detour profitability and the impacts to the image of the destination due to the training camp in the summer 2015.

What we do

Our research addresses the greatest challenges facing us in the future: people need health, energy, well-functioning political and social systems and an intact environment. These are complex questions, and we are seeking the answers in the interaction between many different disciplines. In so doing, our research work embraces three major themes: regions fit for living in, diversity as a life-enhancing feature, a healthy society.
