The scope of HYSTORE is to develop and validate an innovative set of Thermal Energy Storage concepts, based on the combination of cutting-edge technology components, including phase change materials and thermochemical materials. HYSTORE puts Thermal Energy Storage systems on the path to 0 0,04 €/kWh/cycle by 2030, which is competitive with electric batteries. In this way HYSTORE aims to shift thermal storage from an auxiliary unit to heating and cooling systems, to a service for energy efficient buildings and for flexible thermal and electric grids.
