Ukraine’s aspirations for European integration have been a crucial driving force behind its legislative developments in recent years. Ever since the signing of the association agreement with the European Union in 2014, Ukraine has been on a journey of aligning its laws with those of the EU. However, this path has not been without its challenges and controversies which go far beyond the context of the ongoing Russia’s aggression.
