Six ways to make cross-border nature governance work in the Meseta Ibérica Transboundary Biosphere Reserve

Imagine a landscape where oak woods, rivers, villages and farmland spill across a border that, on the ground, is often invisible. People live, work, farm and move around on both sides, while ecosystems do what ecosystems do: ignore administrative lines. That is, in a nutshell, the daily reality of the [Meseta Ibérica Transboundary Biosphere Reserve](http://rerb.oapn.es/red-espanola-de-reservas-de-la-biosfera/reservas-de-la-biosfera-espanolas/mapa/meseta-iberica) (Meseta Ibérica TBR). It is also the reason why its governance needs to be more than a logo or a well-intentioned coordination effort. It needs to work, legally and practically.
