Reframing Minority Rights Amid Global Challenges: The Role of AI and Algorithmic Fairness in Promoting Diversity and Inclusion

AI has the potential to either exacerbate or mitigate discrimination against minority groups. By adopting a human-centered approach, societies can harness AI to promote rather than undermine diversity and minority rights. Ultimately, it is human decision-makers who have the power to steer it in one direction or the other.
