About the interviewee

Jakob Volgger: A year ago, I interviewed you for the MIDAS Blog, just as the PLURILINGMEDIA project was getting started. What developments have taken place over the past year?

The mediascape has become increasingly uniform due to global streaming and social media platforms dominating the market.

As PLURILINGMEDIA enters its second year, one topic is coming into particular focus: artificial intelligence. The idea is to set up a dedicated working committee. How do you see AI shaping both the present and future of minority language media?

In September 2025, PLURILINGMEDIA held its first Training School in Aberystwyth. The focus was on journalism in minority languages.

What other plans are there for the coming year?

If you could make one wish for PLURILINGMEDIA over the next year, what would it be?
