Jordi Jaria i Manzano

Jordi Jaria i Manzano is Serra Húnter Fellow of Constitutional and Environmental Law at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, senior researcher at the Tarragona Centre for Environmental Law Studies (CEDAT) and the Research Institute on Sustainability, Climate Change and Energy Transition (IU-RESCAT), and member of the Research Group on Territory, Citizenship and Sustainability. His recent research focuses on the impact of the transition to the Anthropocene on social organizations and, in particular, on institutions and law. In this context, he has addressed both general issues, regarding the theory of rights or the foundations of constitutional law, and more specific ones, particularly in relation to the energy model, where he has researched on energy democracy and energy communities. He leads a research project on sustainability in digital technologies, funded by the Spanish Government, since 2024.
