As “unauthorized migrants” relocate within the Schengen space seeking legal protection, the Dublin Regulation perpetuates instances of abandonment and dispersal, criminalizing those who move beyond their ascribed territory. This piece reflects on how specific states' bordering practices exhaust both migrants and solidarity networks, while also giving rise to "subversive infrastructures of dwelling" that reconfigure sanctuary beyond governmental expectations.
