This line of research is crucial for the advancement of various sectors, including industry, healthcare, and environmental monitoring. The research is divided into three distinct yet interconnected fields: IoT Intelligent Systems, Edge Computing and RTLS, and Sensor Node Development.

IoT Intelligent Systems

Internet of Things (IoT) Intelligent Systems are at the forefront of our research efforts. This field emphasizes the strategic collaboration with companies to develop intelligent systems that can seamlessly integrate into existing infrastructures. These systems are designed to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve decision-making processes. By leveraging IoT technologies, we aim to create intelligent networks of devices that can communicate and cooperate to achieve common goals.

Edge Computing and Indoor RTLS

Edge Computing and Indoor Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) are critical components of our research. This field focuses on working strategically with companies to develop systems that process data closer to the source, reducing latency and improving real-time decision-making. Edge computing enables the efficient handling of large volumes of data generated by IoT devices, while indoor RTLS provides precise location tracking within indoor environments. Together, these technologies offer significant benefits for industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare.

Sensor Node Development

Sensor Node Development is a research-oriented field that aims to design and develop hardware capable of acquiring data from various sensors and possibly performing data elaboration tasks. Our goal is to create sensor nodes that are not only technologically advanced but also economically and environmentally sustainable. These sensor nodes are integral to the functioning of IoT intelligent systems and edge computing networks, providing the necessary data for informed decision-making and efficient operations.
