More than communication: how the Italian community in Slovenia uses media today
For the Italian national community in Slovenia, media are much more than a source of news. They are a key space where language, culture, and identity come to life. A recent survey shows that traditional minority outlets such as Radio Capodistria, TV Capodistria, and La Voce del Popolo continue to hold a special place in the community. At the same time, social media and digital platforms are becoming an increasingly important complement, creating a hybrid media landscape where tradition meets digital communication. As media habits evolve, minority media face the challenge of adapting to digital transformation while maintaining their vital role in sustaining community life.
