Cross-border collaboration and minority communities: insights from the FUEN Forum in Novi Sad
Cross-border cooperation among minorities plays a vital role in easing tensions – sometimes deeply rooted in history – fostering peace and coexistence, and supporting the economic development of peripheral regions long neglected precisely because they are border areas. These were among the central themes discussed by around one hundred participants at the latest forum of the minority organisation FUEN, held over a day and a half in Novi Sad, in the heart of one of Europe’s most ‘minority-rich’ regions: Vojvodina.
