The Mountain Clinic is Eurac Research’s mountain medicine clinic, aiming to provide individuals and patients with the best counselling for building resilience in mountain environments for occupational and leisure activities. The Mountain Clinic offers a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive services by a multidisciplinary and expert medical team. Those services can be accessed privately or through an agreement with the South Tyrolean Health Authority. The clinic, in collaboration with the Institute’s research groups, conducts research on the prevention and care of injuries and illnesses in mountainous and remote environments, with a focus on cold and hypoxia-related conditions. The aim of this research is to improve public health provision and provide evidence-based recommendations.
