Are you a researcher working abroad? South Tyrol funds a program to attract international scientists. Submit your proposal for a research project and join us in advancing precision health!
The Province of South Tyrol is funding a program to attract experienced researchers to the region. We invite researchers currently working abroad with a PhD and at least 10 years (men) or 8 years (women) of experience, including doctoral studies, to submit a project proposal for a research project at the Eurac Research Institute for Biomedicine.
Why join us?
Researchers will gain:
- Access to unique longitudinal health data from the CHRIS population study
- Use of state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure for precision health research
- Integration into multidisciplinary teams of international scientists
- Opportunities to work on advanced human cell models, multi-omics data, and novel therapeutic strategies
- A collaborative environment at the NOI Techpark, South Tyrol’s innovation hub
Research Areas
We welcome incoming researcher proposals in health data science, cell and molecular biology. Research areas of interest include:
- Development, Setup, and Application of Methods for Therapeutic Target Identification.
- Data analysis of multi-omics data in advanced cell models.
- Development of advanced human-centric cellular models, including organoids and organ-on-a-chip systems. We would be particularly interested in candidates with experience in vascularization of organoids or neuroinflammation in disease.
- Design and testing of novel treatment approaches, from biologics to targeted delivery systems using nanoparticles and other approaches.
Projects may last from 6 to 24 months. Funding covers salary, travel expenses, and family relocation. Applicants must not have lived in the Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino area in the past 12 months.
Interested candidates must contact us before 17 May 2025:
