MOC – Advancing Multiomics for Research and Health

The MOC – MultiOmics Center for Food and Health integrates cutting-edge genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic technologies to study biological processes at the molecular level. In a long-term collaboration between Centro di Sperimentazione Laimburg and Eurac Research, MOC will optimize the collection and analysis of Big Data. By the end of 2027, an interdisciplinary competence center will be established at NOI Techpark in Bolzano, offering state-of-the-art omics analyses to support businesses, research bodies and institutions, both in South Tyrol and outside the region.

Multiomics provide a comprehensive view of biological systems, enabling early disease detection, improved food quality, and better health risk assessments for humans, animals, and plants. With MOC, Eurac Research will enhance Big Data analysis, advance precision medicine, and share expertise to drive innovation in biomedical research.
