B-SHAPES has just released our practical tool Inclusive Approaches to Heritage Management in Borderlands - a booklet with simple solutions to manage and present heritage avoiding national traps.

This document is intended as a practical resource for practitioners and policymakers engaged in managing and developing heritage in border regions. Rather than offering a single tailored solution, it presents a set of initiatives designed to foster cross-border communication and cooperation in the field of heritage conservation and management. The plan is structured in three consecutive steps: it outlines recommendations for designing effective heritage management policies in border areas; introduces a selection of best practice examples; and concludes with a roadmap for developing successful cross-border heritage management strategies, which can be easily adapted to the specific characteristics of each borderland.
