Francesca Rosignoli, Senior Researcher at the Institute for Minority Rights and the Institute for Comparative Federalism, presented the paper “How is subnational governance responding to climate emergencies?” at the Eighteenth International Conference on Climate Change: Impacts & Responses, held from 20 to 22 April 2026 at the University of the Aegean in Rhodes, Greece.
The paper explored how subnational governance is responding to climate emergencies, with a focus on Citizens’ Climate Assemblies in South Tyrol and Vorarlberg, offering valuable insights for both academic and policy-oriented debates.
This contribution actively enriched the discussions and ongoing debates on possible strategies to address the impacts of climate change, fully in line with the spirit and objectives of the conference.
