Forum Carpaticum 2025
From September 9–11, 2025, Bratislava will host the Forum Carpaticum 2025, a key event focused on sustainable development in mountain and rural regions. Under the themes of social solidarity economy and transdisciplinary approaches, the conference brings together experts and institutions from across Europe.
A highlight of the event is the plenary session “Supporting Green Recovery of Ukraine” on September 9, co-organized by UNEP SCC, S4C, Eurac Research, BFH, UNIDO, and Green Dossier.
Günther Rautz of Eurac Research will present insights into how applied research and regional collaborations—such as those with the Province of Bolzano, local SMEs, and the NOI Tech Park—can support Ukraine’s green recovery.
The session will feature impulse presentations and a moderated discussion on knowledge gaps, institutional support, and the role of science in rebuilding the Ukrainian Carpathians.
